Puttur, Aug 8, 2025: Retired principal B.V. Sooryanarayana spoke at an event focused on moral education at Ambika PU College in Bappalige. During his talk, he stressed the significance of students developing a sense of gratitude and the willingness to accept and learn from their mistakes. He addressed the pupils on a Wednesday, underlining that recognizing and embracing failures plays a pivotal role in personal development and instills a constructive attitude that is crucial for achieving success in both their educational pursuits and broader life experiences.

Organized by the Nattoja Foundation Trust, the session's objective was to impart essential life skills to the participating students. Sooryanarayana, a key speaker, emphasized the unavoidable nature of challenges in life. He encouraged the students to view failures not as setbacks, but rather as invaluable learning experiences. "Students should cultivate the courage to claim responsibility for their own mistakes rather than pointing fingers at others," he advised. In his view, this self-accountability, paired with resilience, is crucial for achieving success and flourishing in today's highly competitive environment.

Fostering Focus and Resilience

Sooryanarayana urged the students to develop organized strategies for attaining their objectives and to regularly evaluate their advancement through self-reflection. He suggested they incorporate yoga and pranayama into their routines, as these practices are known to bolster concentration. Furthermore, he emphasized the importance of placing faith in their educators, as adhering to their wisdom fosters persistent development.

Life Lessons for Success

The retired principal emphasized the importance of maintaining a positive mindset among students, asserting that setbacks are merely opportunities for growth. "Rather than signifying the end, failures serve as stepping stones to acquire new insights," he commented. "Armed with resolve and a sharp focus, young minds are fully capable of flourishing in every aspect of life." The assembly was also graced by the presence of Principal Ganesh Prasad D.S. and Vice-Principal Pradeep K.Y. Lecturer Akshata M. began the event with a warm welcome and skillfully orchestrated the proceedings as the emcee.
