Bengaluru, August 3, 2025: The Karnataka Examination Authority (KEA) has initiated the admissions process for various professional disciplines, encompassing medical, engineering, and allied sectors, subsequent to the publication of the ultimate seat allocation list. In an unprecedented move, KEA has established distinct admission calendars for each of these courses, aiming to systematize the procedure and offer clarity to the applicants. H Prasanna, the Executive Director of KEA, announced in a formal statement that it is imperative for candidates to conform to the specified timelines corresponding to their preferred courses to guarantee their admission. He articulated that this organized methodology is designed to facilitate a seamless experience for students as well as educational institutions.
Engineering and Other Courses
For engineering programs, the fee payment and seat confirmation letter download deadline for those who selected Choice-1 is August 8, 2025. These students are required to report at their designated colleges on August 9. The selection process for agriculture, veterinary, B-Pharma, and Pharma-D courses will commence on August 4 and continue until August 8, with the fee submission and college reporting deadlines falling on August 9. Prospective students of yoga, naturopathy, physiotherapy (BPT), prosthetics and orthotics (BPO), and allied health sciences can begin making their choices from August 5. The deadline to finalize their fees is August 11, with reporting to college on August 12.
Medical, Nursing, and MCC Updates
For BSc Nursing admissions, the selection process is slated to kick off on the 6th of August, with the deadline for fee payment and college reporting set for the 11th and 12th of the same month. In a similar vein, those aspiring for medical, dental, and homoeopathy courses can begin making their choices from August 7th, with the corresponding deadlines for fee submission and reporting also fixed for the 11th and 12th. The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) is set to declare the seat allotment results on the 6th of August, which will be followed by the commencement of state-level admissions.
To cater to the demanding timeline, Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) has instructed educational institutions to consider weekends and public holidays as regular working days. It's worth noting that candidates who haven't secured a seat in the initial round are not required to choose options immediately, as they will have the opportunity to do so in subsequent rounds if they are allotted a seat.
Simplified Document Verification
In a significant change, the Karnataka Examination Authority (KEA) has announced that students allocated seats in private medical institutions will no longer be required to visit its offices for document verification. This responsibility has been transferred to the colleges themselves, with candidates now submitting original papers during the admission process.
Earlier, KEA would collect the necessary documents and pass them on to the health university for further scrutiny. To ensure a smooth transition, KEA is organizing a workshop for private college registrars scheduled for August 5. This new system is anticipated to simplify the admissions procedure for countless students throughout the state of Karnataka, reducing their administrative burden.
