Puttur, August 12, 2025: The 27th ShriKrishna Loka celebration, organized by Vivekananda Shishumandira in collaboration with Puttur Mahatobhara Shri Mahalingeshwara Temple, will take place on August 16 at Parladka Shivapete, Puttur. The event, a vibrant celebration of Shri Krishna Janmashtami, will feature a series of traditional programs, including a bhajan session, Balakrishna cradle ceremony, a grand procession, and a formal gathering, announced Mohan K, President of the Public Shri Krishna Janmashtami Committee, during a press conference at Puttur’s Press Club on Tuesday, August 12.
Janmashtami Event Schedule for ShriKrishna Loka
The ShriKrishna Loka Event will commence at 8:00 AM with a bhajan program at Vivekananda Shishumandira, Parladyka Shivapete. At 9:00 AM, the Balakrishna cradle ceremony will be held with great enthusiasm. A colorful procession will begin at 9:30 AM from the Shishumandira premises, proceeding to the front of Shri Mahalingeshwara Temple. Over a thousand children, including students from Vivekananda Shishumandira, will participate, dressed as Shri Krishna and Radha, accompanied by bhajan troupes that will enhance the procession’s grandeur.
At 10:30 AM, upon reaching Shri Mahalingeshwara Temple, a formal program will take place on a specially arranged stage. Shri Panjigudde Eshwara Bhat, President of the Temple’s Administrative Board, will inaugurate the event by lighting the ceremonial lamp. Shri Harinarayana Shirantadka, a teacher at SAPHS, Agalpady, will preside over the program, while social worker Shri Agile Yogish Hasan will attend as the chief guest. Dr. Vijaya Saraswathi B, Dean of the Postgraduate Studies Center at Vivekananda Mahavidyalaya (Autonomous), Puttur, will deliver the keynote address, Mohan K elaborated.
