Bypass Road Survey to Decide Future Course, Says MLA
Vitla/ Vittal, 29 July 2026: The discussion over the proposed road widening project in Vittal continued as representatives of the Vittal Traders Association met MLA Ashok Kumar Rai and held talks regarding the issue.
During the meeting, the MLA informed the traders that a survey would be conducted to explore the possibility of constructing a bypass road, and a decision would be announced based on the findings.
The road expansion proposal has been a matter of discussion among traders, residents and authorities, with concerns over traffic congestion as well as the impact of widening works on commercial establishments.
The traders' delegation included Vittal Traders Association President K. V. Babu, Vittal Rural Cooperative Society President H. Jagannath Salian, Ramadas Shenai, Krishnayya K. Vittal Aramane, Sudarshan Padiyar, Honest Iqbal, and others.
The meeting has renewed hopes among residents and traders that a balanced solution addressing both traffic issues and business concerns will be found for Vittal town.
