New Delhi, July 17, 2025: The much-anticipated 20th tranche of the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-KISAN) initiative is poised to provide financial aid to an estimated 9.8 crore farmers throughout India. It is speculated that Prime Minister Narendra Modi will disseminate the Rs 2,000 payment during a public gathering in Motihari, Bihar on July 18, 2025, in the lead-up to the state's assembly elections. It is important to note that individuals using agricultural land for non-farming purposes or those who are income tax payers are not eligible for the benefits, in accordance with the guidelines outlined by the program. Accurate bank account details are also a prerequisite for successful payments.

Farmers can verify their status on the official PM-KISAN portal (pmkisan.gov.in). Steps include:

1. Visit pmkisan.gov.in and click ‘Beneficiary Status’ under ‘Farmers Corner.’
2. Enter Aadhaar number, registration number, or mobile number.
3. Submit to view payment status and eligibility.
4. For issues like e-KYC failure or Aadhaar mismatch, farmers can contact the PM-KISAN helpline at 155261 or 011-24300606.
