Puttur, July 23: As preparations gather momentum for the upcoming Brahmakalashotsava of Polya Sri Lakshmi Venkataramana Mutt, members of the temple's renovation committee and devotees offered special prayers at the historic Balnadu Sri Bhattivinayaka Temple on Wednesday, seeking the blessings of Lord Vinayaka for the successful conduct of the religious event.
Recognised as one of the oldest and revered temples in Puttur taluk, Balnadu Sri Bhattivinayaka Temple traditionally holds special significance before the commencement of major religious and temple-related activities in the region. Continuing this custom, prayers were first offered at the temple before the Brahmakalashotsava and renovation works at Polya Mutt.
Temple priest Venkataramana Bhat performed the special prayers and Mahapooja, invoking divine blessings for the smooth and successful completion of the Brahmakalashotsava and the ongoing renovation works.
Among those present were Temple Management Committee President Umashankar Edurkal, Renovation Committee President Dr. Krishnaprasanna, Administrative Committee members Kodippadi Ramachandra Bhat Polya, Nandakishore Polya, Krishna Gowda Terakhand, Pallavi Uday Kumar Hanumaje, and Renovation Committee members Ganesh Gowda Polya, Harish Gowda Terakhand, Purushothama Gowda Moolekadu, along with other devotees.
The visit marked the spiritual beginning of the Brahmakalashotsava preparations, with devotees expressing hope that the sacred celebrations would be conducted successfully with the blessings of Lord Bhattivinayaka.
