Puttur, 31 August 2026: Students of Ambika Vidyalaya CBSE School, Bappalige, run by Nattोज Foundation Trust in Puttur, delivered an impressive performance at the state-level swimming competition held at Rashtrotthana Vidya Kendra in Banashankari, Bengaluru, winning several medals across different categories.
In the Boys’ Kishora category, Class 10 student Lalan U. Naik, son of Umashankar Naik K. and Rashmi of Parladka, secured third place in the 400m freestyle, first place in the 200m freestyle and second place in the 4×100m freestyle relay.
Class 10 student Anitej Madhusudan Sale, son of Madhusudan Sale and Vinutha M. Sale of Haradi, won first place in the 800m freestyle and third place in the 200m backstroke.
In the Girls’ Kishora category, Class 10 student Mehek Ravikumar Kothari, daughter of Ravikumar Kothari and Kothari Lakshmi Ben Ravikumar of Puttur, secured first place in the 200m backstroke and second place in the 4×100m freestyle relay.
Class 8 student Reesha P. Shetty, daughter of Prasanna Kumar Shetty and Prathima of Darbe, won third place in the 200m freestyle.
In the Boys’ Bala category, Class 8 student Prathyush L.S. Gowda, son of Satyanarayana and Latha K. of Parladka, secured first place in the 50m backstroke and 50m butterfly, and second place in the 100m backstroke. He was also part of the teams that secured first place in both the 4×100m freestyle relay and 4×100m medley relay.
Class 8 student Deepansh Shetty, son of Mahesh G. and Sukanya K. of Urlandi, won first place in the 50m freestyle, second place in the 100m freestyle and third place in the 200m freestyle. He also secured first place in the 4×100m freestyle relay.
Class 6 student Shrihaan Gowda K.J., son of Jayaram K.T. and Swathi Jayaram of Samethadka, secured third place in the 200m backstroke and 100m butterfly. The strong medal haul reflects the students’ dedication, training and sporting talent, bringing recognition to Ambika Vidyalaya and Puttur at the state level.
