Dry Koka / Cocoa was quoted at ₹270–320 per kg, considerably higher than wet cocoa, which stood at ₹70–100 per kg. The difference between the two categories remained unchanged throughout the week. At the maximum rate, dry cocoa was ₹220 per kg higher than wet cocoa.
No price movement during the week
There was no change in either the minimum or maximum rate for wet or dry cocoa from August 3 to August 7. For farmers, this means the CAMPCO Puttur rate sheet provided a stable price reference throughout the week, although the quoted rate does not necessarily mean every farmer will receive the maximum price.
CAMPCO has stated that wet and dry cocoa prices are determined based on quality. Farmers should therefore consider the quality and condition of their produce when assessing the expected sale value.
