Bengaluru, 25 August 2026: Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) has announced the final second-round seat allotment results for UGCET-2026, covering engineering and other undergraduate professional courses.
KEA Executive Director H. Prasanna said candidates allotted seats in the second round can complete their admission process between August 25 and 28. During this period, candidates must download the prescribed challan, pay the required fee and report to the allotted college to complete admission formalities.
Choice 1 or Choice 4
Candidates allotted seats in Engineering, Architecture, Yoga and Naturopathy, Agricultural Sciences, Veterinary Science, B.Sc Nursing, B-Pharm, Pharm-D, BPT, BPO and Allied Health Sciences have two options. Those who are satisfied with their allotted seat can select Choice 1, pay the fee and report to the college for admission. Candidates who do not wish to accept their allotted seat can select Choice 4 and exit the KEA counselling process.
Free exit for UGNEET candidates
For UGNEET-26, KEA has provided a free-exit facility to candidates who have secured medical or dental seats through MCC counselling or counselling conducted by other States. Such candidates can exit the KEA counselling process without penalty. The seats vacated by these candidates will subsequently be included in a fresh first-round allotment. KEA has also released the provisional first-round results for medical courses.
Candidates with seats in both KEA and MCC
Some candidates have secured seats through both KEA and MCC counselling. Prasanna said such candidates can choose Choice 4 and exit the KEA counselling process if they decide to retain their MCC allotment. Exit facility will be available on August 25 and 26. Move is intended to ensure that seats vacated by candidates who choose MCC allotments become available to other meritorious candidates in the fresh allotment.

Prasanna said the arrangement has been made to help candidates make their choices while ensuring that vacant seats are made available to other eligible students during the subsequent allotment process.
