Puttur, 1 September 2026: This year's monsoon crop survey has begun in Karnataka, giving farmers an opportunity to record details of the crops grown on their land directly through their mobile phones. Farmers can upload crop details and photographs through the government’s crop survey application. The deadline for submitting the information is September 30.
Farmers can record crop details themselves
Farmers using Android phones can download the ‘Mungaru Raitara Bele Samikshe 26-27’ mobile application from the Google Play Store and participate directly in the survey. They can enter details of the crops grown on their land and upload photographs through the application. Crop information collected through the survey will be used by the government for official agricultural records and related schemes.
Provision to check and raise objections
Farmers can also check the crop survey information recorded for their land through the ‘Bele Darshak’ mobile application. If they find any discrepancy in the recorded information, they can submit an objection directly through the app. This gives farmers an opportunity to verify whether the crop details recorded against their land are accurate.
Assistance available for farmers
Farmers who are unable to upload the information themselves can seek assistance from locally identified persons with knowledge of mobile applications. Assistance is being facilitated through the taluk administration and Village Administrative Officers. Crop information submitted along with photographs will subsequently be verified and approved by the taluk administration.
