Bengaluru, 3 September 2026: Karnataka State Medicinal Plants Authority (KaMPA), in association with the Karnataka Forest Department, will organise the second Forest and Agricultural Herbal Expo–2026 in Bengaluru from September 18 to 20, 2026.

Three-day exhibition will be held at Karnataka Chitrakala Parishath, Kumara Krupa Road, Bengaluru, and will showcase a wide range of medicinal plant raw materials sourced from forests and agriculture, along with value-added herbal products. Around 30 to 40 stalls are expected to be set up as part of the exhibition, providing a platform for farmers, traders, companies, collectors, research and development institutions, AYUSH practitioners, government departments, agri-entrepreneurs and NGOs working in the medicinal plants sector.

Focus on medicinal plant exports

As part of the expo, a special workshop on “Promotion of Medicinal Plants Export” will be held on September 18 at the D. Devaraj Urs Gallery, Karnataka Chitrakala Parishath. Workshop aims to highlight the potential of Karnataka’s forest- and agriculture-based medicinal plants and promote the export of medicinal plants and value-added products.

According to KaMPA, the programme will also focus on strengthening supply chains by creating opportunities for interaction and business linkages among farmers, collectors, traders, industries and other stakeholders.

Identifying global market opportunities

Workshop will examine global demand trends and work towards identifying medicinal plant species that have strong demand in international markets. Participants will also be made aware of international quality standards relevant to medicinal plants and their products, an important aspect for businesses seeking to enter export markets.

Another key objective is to encourage start-ups and entrepreneurship in the medicinal plants sector and help create new business opportunities around cultivation, collection, processing and value addition.

Platform for knowledge and market linkages

KaMPA said the expo will provide an opportunity for stakeholders in the medicinal plant sector to interact, exchange knowledge and experience, explore market connections and understand emerging opportunities in the industry. Farmers, entrepreneurs, traders, researchers, AYUSH practitioners and other interested stakeholders have been invited to participate in the workshop and visit the exhibition.
