Puttur, 24 September 2026: A Honda Shine motorcycle belonging to a police constable was allegedly stolen from Nellikkatte in Puttur. Stolen motorcycle belongs to Abhilash L.S., a police constable serving with the District Armed Reserve Police Force of the Dakshina Kannada District Police.
According to the complaint, Abhilash had reported for duty in the Puttur Sub-Division as part of the Prahara team. He was staying in a rented house at Nellikkatte for rest after duty. On September 18, he returned to the rented house on his motorcycle after completing his duty. He parked the bike outside the house and went inside to rest.
After some time, when he came outside, he found that the motorcycle was missing. Stolen vehicle is a Honda Shine bearing registration number KA 44 U 8425. Abhilash filed a complaint at the Puttur Town Police Station. A case has been registered and further investigation is underway.
