Puttur, 19 September 2026: Management skills are essential in today’s competitive world, said the resource person at a programme on MBA entrance examinations held at Vivekananda College, Puttur.
Programme was organised by the College’s Department of Commerce, Department of Business Administration and IQAC. Speaking as the resource person, the speaker said an MBA is a professional qualification. The quality of MBA education depends greatly on the subject knowledge, experience and practical expertise of faculty members.
There are several ways to pursue an MBA, the speaker said. For students in Karnataka, the Karnataka PGCET is an important option. Through PGCET, students can seek admission under the government quota and complete an MBA at a comparatively lower fee, the speaker said.
The programme was titled ‘A Perspective on MBA Entrance Examinations’.
College Principal Prof. Srikrishna Ganaraj Bhat, who presided over the programme, said choosing a competitive examination is not limited to simply appearing for the test. It is an important decision that can help students shape their future, he said.
Students should take successful personalities as their inspiration, he added. Behind every successful person is hard work, he said. Quality preparation, focus on the goal and continuous study are important for success, he said.
Students should not hesitate to compete. They should start with small steps and work consistently towards bigger goals, Prof. Bhat said.
