Bantwal, June 18,2025: Bantwal is gearing up for a grand celebration of Tulu heritage with the Tulu Nadu Fair, organized by Tulukoota Bantwal, set to take place on June 20, 21, and 22 at Sparsha Kala Mandira.

Announced by Tulukoota president Sudarshan Jain Panjikallu during a press conference on Wednesday, the three-day event will feature a vibrant mix of Tulu literature, cultural performances, and agricultural showcases. The fair opens on June 20 at 10 am with an inauguration by MLA Rajesh Naik and former minister B. Ramanath Rai, followed by programs honoring top-scoring students in the Tulu language exam, alongside traditional performances like Bale Telipale and Tulu Padarangita.

On June 21, the fair shifts focus to agriculture and creativity, starting with a 10 am seminar on fruit and vegetable cultivation, followed by Tuluvere Padagonchil, a competitive event celebrating mangoes and jackfruits. The day will also host a multilingual poetry session at 2:30 pm, a Yakshagana dance spectacle at 4:30 pm, and a lively Nrityagana Sambhrama at 6 pm, showcasing the region’s rich artistic traditions. The event promises to engage visitors with its blend of cultural and educational activities, drawing families, farmers, and culture enthusiasts to Bantwal.

The final day, June 22, will feature Krishi Gena, an agricultural showcase in collaboration with the Netravati Farmers’ Development Federation and the Horticulture Department, alongside cultural programs. The closing ceremony at 2 pm will see Speaker U.T. Khader and former MP Nalin Kumar Kateel felicitate veteran farmers Koragappa Mulya Manihalla and Sadashiva Shettigar Annalike.
