Puttur to Mangaluru Non-Stop Express Bus Service Set to Launch, Ambari Utsav Route to Bengaluru via Vitla Announced
Tuesday, June 24, 2025
Puttur, June 24, 2025: In a significant boost to public transportation in Coastal Karnataka, a new non-stop express bus service from Puttur to Mangaluru’s State Bank Bus Terminal is slated to commence soon. Puttur MLA Ashok Kumar Rai announced that the service will initially operate with six buses, addressing long-standing commuter concerns about delays caused by frequent stops on existing routes. Unlike the current buses, which make multiple halts, the new express service will travel directly from Puttur to State Bank (Mangaluru) without any intermediate stops, ensuring a faster and more convenient journey for passengers.
The initiative comes in response to public feedback highlighting the inconvenience faced by commuters traveling directly to Mangaluru. “The existing bus services stop at multiple points, causing delays for those who need to reach Mangaluru quickly. This non-stop express service is designed to address those concerns and provide a seamless travel experience,” MLA Ashok Kumar Rai said during the announcement.
One-Hour Journey to Mangaluru
The new express buses should cover the distance from Puttur to Mangaluru in under an hour. This change will significantly cut travel time for commuters. To support this fast service, new buses will be added to ensure comfort and reliability. “We are bringing in modern buses to make this route efficient and passenger-friendly,” Rai said. He highlighted the government’s commitment to improving public transport.
