Dharmasthala Horror: Women's Commission Calls for SIT Probe

Karnataka Women's Commission Chairperson Dr. Nagalakshmi Chaudhary addressing the media on the SIT probe demand for Dharmasthala cases.

Bengaluru, July 15, 2025: The Karnataka State Commission for Women are really worried about some serious stuff that has been happening in Dharmasthala for the past 20 years. They want the big bosses to make a Special Investigation Team (SIT) to look into all the women who've gone missing, the weird deaths, and the murders that people have been whispering about. Dr. Nagalakshmi Chaudhary, who's like the head honcho there, wrote to the Chief Minister, Siddaramaiah, about some seriously messed up things. Apparently, someone spilled the beans in court that there could be hundreds of bodies buried in secret spots around Dharmasthala.

The commission is super concerned about the cops not doing their job. They told Dakshina Kannada  Superintendent of Police, to give them the lowdown on how many women and college girls have gone missing, what happened with those cases that got solved, and what the cops did about all the weird deaths and crimes like assault. They need to know this stuff in just a week!

This all started because people have been saying the cops aren't helping when families go to the station to say their daughters or wives are missing. And there's this one family of a medical student who's missing, and they're talking about how bad the cops have been at finding her. It seems like there might be a bigger problem here, and Dr. Chaudhary wants to make sure the investigation is done by some really good cops who don't mess around. She's all about keeping things out in the open and making sure everyone does their job right. So now, the SIT is supposed to dig into all this craziness and figure out what's been going on.

Grave Allegations Surface

Dr. Nagalakshmi Chaudhary’s letter talks about a super scary story that was told in court. Apparently, a bunch of people were buried around a place called Dharmasthala. Also, the family of a medical student who’s gone missing is all over the news saying some pretty serious stuff. They’re worried that there might be bigger problems going on in the area. Over the last 20 years, a lot of bad things like bullying, people getting killed, and even rapes have been happening. And the sad part is, when these families try to tell the police, they say they don’t get much help.

Call for Comprehensive Investigation

The commission is really pushing for a special team, like a VIP squad of top cops, to look into all these weird disappearances and suspicious deaths happening around. This doctor, Dr. Chaudhary, is big on everyone being honest and playing fair, so they want all the info out in the open about who's gone missing, what's been figured out, and what's been done about the bad stuff. The big boss of the local police, the SP from Dakshina Kannada, got told to give them a full update in just seven days, to show they're taking this seriously.
