Prioritizing the well-being of students, the Dakshina Kannada Deputy Commissioner, Darshan H.V., has announced a district-wide closure of educational establishments for July 25, 2025. This mandatory holiday encompasses all government, aided, and private primary and secondary schools, as well as pre-university institutions and anganwadi centres. The directive also advises parents to keep children away from low-lying areas, riverbanks, and coastal zones to minimize exposure to potential dangers.
