Bengaluru, September 4, 2026: Karnataka School Education and Literacy Department has approved state-level Best Principal and Best Lecturer awards for the 2026–27 academic year, recognising teachers serving in government and private aided pre-university colleges across the state.
Department has selected two principals and eight lecturers for the state-level awards based on their service and performance in pre-university education. Approval was communicated through a government order dated September 4, 2026, issued by the School Education and Literacy Department (Pre-University Education).
Two Principals Selected
Two principals selected for the State-Level Best Principal Award are:
- Srikantaiah - Rajajinagar Pre-University College, Rajajinagar, Bengaluru North district.
- Jairam B. - Government SKVD Pre-University College, Chikkanahalli, Sira taluk, Tumakuru district.
🏆 State-Level Best Lecturer Award 2026–27
Eight lecturers selected from across Karnataka
Dakshina Kannada Representation
Ibrahim M., a Kannada lecturer at Government PU College, Uppinangady, has been selected for the state-level Best Lecturer Award, giving Dakshina Kannada district representation among the eight awardees. Selection covers educators from Bengaluru North, Tumakuru, Mysuru, Bengaluru Central, Vijayapura, Chikkodi, Dakshina Kannada and Kalaburagi districts. Order states that permission has been granted to confer the state-level awards on the selected 02 principals and 08 lecturers for the 2026–27 academic year.
