Mangalore University Guest Faculty Interview Schedule for 2025-26 Announced

Mangaluru, August 6, 2025: Mangalore University (MU) has released the interview schedule in Kannada for guest faculty positions for its postgraduate (PG) programs for the academic year 2025-26. The interviews will be conducted at the Syndicate Hall, Administrative Block, Mangalagangothri, from August 11, 2025. Prospective candidates are advised to present themselves with all original certificates and documentation, and are requested to be punctual, arriving an hour prior to their designated interview time to facilitate a seamless verification process. This initiative underscores the University's commitment to enhancing the quality of education by inviting esteemed guest faculty members to share their expertise with students in various PG programs.

Subject-Wise Interview Schedule

The interviews are scheduled over 4 days, covering various subjects. 

August 11, interviews begin with Kannada (10:00-10:30 AM), followed by English (10:30-11:00 AM), Hindi (11:00-11:30 AM), Konkani (11:30-11:40 AM), Tulu (11:40 AM-12:00 PM), and History (12:00-1:00 PM). The afternoon session includes Economics (2:15– 2:45 PM), Political Science (2:45-3:00 PM), Sociology (3:00-3:15 PM), Social Work (3:15-3:45 PM), Mass Communication & Journalism (3:45-4:00 PM), and M.P.Ed/B.P.Ed (4:00-5:30 PM).
August 12, the schedule covers Bio Science (10:00-10:30 AM), Biotechnology (10:45-11:30 AM), Microbiology (11:30 AM-12:15 PM), Environmental Science (12:15-12:45 PM), Food Science & Nutrition (12:45-1:30 PM), Computer Science/MCA (2:15-2:30 PM), Geo Informatics/Marine Geology (2:30-3:00 PM), Human Consciousness & Yogic Science (3:00-3:30 PM), Geography (3:30-3:45 PM), Cyber Security (3:45-4:00 PM), Electronics (4:00-4:15 PM), Statistics (4:15-4:30 PM), and Material Science (4:30-5:00 PM).
August 13 includes Chemistry (10:00 AM-12:00 PM), Medical Physics (12:00-12:15 PM), Physics (12:15-1:30 PM), Botany (2:00-2:45 PM), Industrial Chemistry (2:45-3:10 PM), Zoology (3:10-4:00 PM), Biochemistry (4:00-4:30 PM), and Library & Information Science (4:30-4:45 PM).
August 14, interviews are scheduled for MBA (10:00-11:00 AM), MBA (Tourism) (11:00-11:15 AM), MBA (IB) (11:15-11:30 AM), and M.Com/MHRD (11:30 AM-1:30 PM).

Remuneration and Requirements

Full-time teaching workload at Mangalore University is differentiated for various faculties, with 16 hours weekly allocated to Arts and Commerce and 20 hours for Science disciplines. UGC-qualified educators are offered a monthly remuneration of up to ₹40,000, while non-UGC-qualified individuals will receive ₹35,000. For those opting for part-time positions, the compensation ranges at ₹650 per hour for UGC-qualified and ₹600 per hour for non-UGC-qualified candidates. Successful applicants are expected to serve across any of the MU-affiliated institutions and participate in additional university responsibilities as required. The application process mandates the presentation of an online application along with original document copies for thorough verification.
