Puttur, 18 August 2026: Students of Ambika Vidyalaya CBSE, Bappalige, run by Nattोज Foundation Trust, Puttur, won several gold, silver and bronze medals in different events at a Vidyabharati swimming competition held at Shakti Residential School, Shaktinagar, Mangaluru. The students competed in different age categories and swimming disciplines, including freestyle, backstroke, butterfly and breaststroke, besides relay events.
Anitej Madhusoodhan wins three golds
In the Kishora boys' category, Class 10 student Anitej Madhusoodhan Sale won gold medals in the 800m freestyle, 200m backstroke and 100m backstroke events.
Class 10 student Lalan U. Nayak won gold in the 200m freestyle and silver medals in the 100m backstroke and 400m freestyle.
Among the Kishora girls, Class 10 student Mehek Ravikumar Kothari secured gold in the 100m and 200m backstroke events and silver in the 50m butterfly.
Class 8 student Reesha P. Shetty won silver medals in the 100m and 200m freestyle and a bronze in the 50m butterfly.
Strong performance in Balavarga category
Class 8 student Prathyush L.S. Gowda produced a strong performance in the Balavarga boys' category, winning gold medals in the 50m butterfly, 50m backstroke, 100m backstroke, 4x100m freestyle relay and 4x100m individual medley relay.
Class 8 student Deepansh Shetty also won multiple medals, securing gold in the 50m freestyle, 100m freestyle, 4x100m freestyle relay and 4x100m individual medley relay, along with silver in the 200m freestyle.
Class 6 student Shrihaan Gowda K.J. won gold in the 4x100m freestyle relay and 200m backstroke. He also secured silver in the 100m butterfly and bronze medals in the 400m freestyle and 100m breaststroke.
Class 6 student Daivik Devadiga won silver medals in the 50m breaststroke and 50m butterfly.
Class 6 student Vihaan Ravikumar Kothari won gold in the 4x100m individual medley relay and silver medals in the 100m backstroke and 200m individual medley.
Class 6 student Nishan S. won gold in the 4x100m individual medley relay.
The achievement has brought recognition to Ambika Vidyalaya's student swimmers, with the young athletes putting up a strong performance across individual and relay events.
