Puttur, 15 August 2026: G.L. Acharya Jewellers’ Puttur branch observed Independence Day with a ceremonial flag hoisting programme on Saturday.
The national flag was hoisted by the company’s Managing Director Lakshmikanth B. Acharya at the Puttur branch. His wife Veda Lakshmikanth Acharya and members of the branch staff were present.
Following the flag hoisting, the national anthem and flag song were sung as a mark of respect to the nation. Staff members and others present participated in the programme in a patriotic spirit.
Speaking on the occasion, Lakshmikanth B. Acharya called upon people to make respect for the nation, patriotism and love for the country an integral part of their lives and contribute to the country’s development in their own ways.
He also stressed the need to nurture patriotism and national spirit among the younger generation. He extended Independence Day greetings to all those present.
