Government has also declared certain newly upgraded police posts equivalent in status and responsibilities to specified cadre posts under Rule 12 of the IPS (Pay) Rules, 2016. These include the posts of ADGP, Directorate of Civil Rights Enforcement; ADGP, Grievances & Human Rights; IGP, Karnataka State Reserve Police; DIGP, Western Range, Mangaluru; and SP, Anti Narcotic Task Force. All the transfers and postings are effective immediately and will remain in force until further orders.
