Puttur, August 29, 2026: Arecanut prices at the CAMPCO Puttur branch witnessed a mixed movement on Saturday, with the maximum price of new arecanut increasing by ₹5 per kg compared with the previous day.
According to the rates released by the Central Arecanut and Cocoa Marketing and Processing Co-operative Limited (CAMPCO), the price of new arecanut increased from ₹400–₹465 per kg on August 28 to ₹400–₹470 per kg on August 29. Rates for Chol arecanut and Double Chol arecanut remained unchanged at ₹525–₹550 per kg.
Among other varieties, new Fatora was quoted at ₹320–₹360 per kg, while old Fatora stood at ₹345–₹365 per kg. New Ulli was priced at ₹130–₹255 per kg and old Ulli at ₹120–₹255 per kg.
New and old Coca varieties remained at ₹295–₹315 per kg. Both new and old Karigot varieties were quoted at ₹225–₹255 per kg.
For cocoa, the price of fresh cocoa remained at ₹70–₹100 per kg, while dry cocoa was quoted at ₹270–₹320 per kg. Black pepper prices remained unchanged at ₹415–₹690 per kg.
CAMPCO has stated that arecanut prices are determined based on size and quality. Black pepper prices may vary depending on moisture content and litre weight, while fresh and dry cocoa prices are fixed according to quality.
