Puttur, 27 August 2026: Agriculture Department has asked farmers to participate in the 2026-27 Kharif season crop survey and upload details of the crops cultivated on their land through the designated mobile application.
Government is collecting crop-related information through the crop survey software. Farmers have been given an opportunity to participate directly in the survey by downloading the ‘Kharif Farmers Crop Survey 2026’ mobile application from the Google Play Store. Through the app, farmers can upload photographs of their crops along with details of the crops cultivated on their land.
If farmers are unable to complete the survey themselves, they can seek assistance from persons appointed by the Taluk administration or from technically knowledgeable local private individuals to record and submit the crop details. Crop information and photographs submitted by farmers or private individuals will be verified and approved by the Taluk administration.
Important for Crop Insurance Beneficiaries
Assistant Director of Agriculture has cautioned that farmers whose crops are not surveyed during the current season may not be eligible to become beneficiaries of the crop insurance scheme in the following year.
Farmers who have already registered for crop insurance are encouraged to complete the crop survey themselves, as this will help in the process of claiming crop insurance benefits. Farmers can also check the crop survey information recorded for their land. If they find any discrepancies, they can directly submit their objections through the ‘Bele Darshaka’ mobile application.
Agriculture Department has advised farmers requiring assistance or further information to contact their nearest Raitha Samparka Kendra, Agriculture Department office, Village Administrative Officer, Revenue Department or Horticulture Department official. Puttur Assistant Director of Agriculture has urged farmers to ensure that the crop details and photographs are correctly recorded during the 2026-27 Kharif crop survey.
