Mumbai, August 14, 2026: Applications have opened for Reliance Foundation Scholarships 2026–27, with 5,100 first-year undergraduate and postgraduate students across India set to receive financial support for higher education.
Programme will offer 5,000 undergraduate scholarships and 100 postgraduate scholarships for the academic year 2026–27. Undergraduate scholars will be eligible for financial support of up to ₹2 lakh, while selected postgraduate students can receive up to ₹6 lakh over the duration of their programme.
Students enrolled in full-time degree programmes across India can apply. There is no application fee at any stage of the selection process.
Who can apply?
Undergraduate Scholarship follows a merit-cum-means selection process and is open to eligible first-year undergraduate students. Selection includes an aptitude assessment along with consideration of the applicant's financial background.
Postgraduate Scholarship is aimed at 100 exceptional first-year students pursuing future-oriented disciplines, including Engineering, Technology, Energy and Life Sciences. Selection will consider academic performance, aptitude and other eligibility parameters.
Apart from financial assistance, the scholarship programme provides selected students with opportunities for mentorship, leadership development, networking and interaction with industry experts. Scholars also become part of a wider community of students supported by the programme.
More than 33,000 scholarships awarded
Reliance Foundation said it has supported more than 33,000 students through scholarships so far.
Foundation's scholarship initiative was expanded in December 2022 when Nita M. Ambani announced a commitment to provide 50,000 scholarships over 10 years in addition to the scholarships already being offered.
Last year, 5,100 students from 1,350 institutions across 27 states and seven Union Territories were selected, according to the foundation.
