New Delhi, 10 September 2026: Apple has officially launched the iPhone 18 Pro Max, its largest and most powerful Pro iPhone for 2026. iPhone 18 Pro Max, bringing a new A20 Pro chip, a variable-aperture camera, longer battery life and new AI-powered Siri features. New flagship was unveiled alongside the iPhone 18 Pro on September 9. In India, pre-orders will begin at 5:30 pm on September 12, with sales starting September 18.
iPhone 18 Pro Max price in India
Phone 18 Pro Max starts at ₹1,79,900 for 256GB in India. Apple is offering the phone in 256GB, 512GB, 1TB and 2TB storage options. The 2TB version is priced at ₹3,29,900.

New variable-aperture camera
One of the biggest upgrades is the 48MP Fusion Main camera with variable aperture. The new system gives users greater control over light entering the lens and allows more flexibility with depth of field. Apple says the camera also improves low-light photography and video recording. Apple has also introduced new Pro Controls in the Camera app, giving users more control over photography and video settings.
A20 Pro chip
iPhone 18 Pro Max is powered by Apple's new A20 Pro chip. Apple has paired the processor with a next-generation vapour chamber designed to improve sustained performance during demanding tasks such as gaming, video processing and AI workloads. Company says the redesigned thermal system can deliver up to a 40% gain in sustained performance compared with the previous generation.
Major battery upgrade
Battery life is another major focus of the new Pro Max. Apple's India website says the iPhone 18 Pro Max can deliver up to 43 hours of video playback, while offering up to 29 hours of use per charge under Apple's usage measurement. The phone also supports faster wired charging, reaching up to 50% charge in around 15 minutes under Apple's specified conditions.
Siri AI arrives
iPhone 18 Pro Max runs iOS 27 and introduces Apple's next-generation Siri AI. Updated Siri is designed to understand personal context and can work across information such as messages, emails and photos. Apple also highlights onscreen awareness, allowing Siri to understand what is displayed on the device and take relevant actions. Apple says Siri AI is rolling out in English.
Design and colours
The iPhone 18 Pro Max retains Apple's premium Pro design approach while introducing a smaller and more useful Dynamic Island. It is available in four finishes Black, Silver, Glacier, Burgundy. Phone continues Apple's large-screen Pro Max format, aimed at users who want the biggest display and battery in the Pro lineup.

Indian customers can pre-order the iPhone 18 Pro Max from 5:30 pm on September 12. Device will officially become available from September 18.
