Bengaluru, September 11: Karnataka Police Department has issued a series of transfer, posting and temporary deputation orders involving Deputy Superintendents of Police (DySPs) and Police Inspectors (Civil) across the State.
According to orders issued by the office of the Director General and Inspector General of Police, Dr M.A. Saleem, IPS, several officers have been transferred or assigned new responsibilities with immediate effect.
Among the DySP-level changes, Shivraj Katakabhavi has been posted to the Shorapur Sub-Division in Yadgir district from CCPs, Dharwad City, Hubballi. Javid Inamdar, serving in Shorapur Sub-Division, has been moved to DCRE.
Prashanth G. Munnolli, from Athani Sub-Division in Belagavi district, has been posted to the CID Forest Unit, Hubballi.
Orders also modify or cancel some earlier transfer orders involving officers serving in State Intelligence, DCRE and other units. Jayaraj H. has been assigned to the Internal Security Division, while an earlier transfer involving him has been modified.
At the Police Inspector level, the department has also issued several posting orders. Vijay Mahantesh B. Mathapati, who was transferred from CID to Sagar Rural Police Station, Shivamogga district, has been included in the latest posting order. The earlier transfer of Ramesh M. to Sagar Rural Police Station has been cancelled and he will continue in CID.
Several other inspectors have been posted to or retained in units including the Karnataka Lokayukta, State Intelligence, DCRE, CID, VIP Security, Anti-Narcotics Task Force and other specialised wings.
Temporary deployment for Gowri-Ganesha festival
Police department has separately ordered the temporary deployment of Police Inspectors on Other Duty (OOD) in view of the Gowri-Ganesha festival.
In the Mangaluru region, eight inspectors have been temporarily assigned to various police stations and units. Shivakumar K.A. has been deployed from the Internal Security Division to Barke Police Station, Mangaluru City, while Somashekar J.C. has been assigned to Kavoor Police Station, Mangaluru City. Kusumadhar K. has been posted to Konaje Police Station, while Seetharam P. has been assigned to Bantwal Rural Police Station, Dakshina Kannada. Ramesh K. has been temporarily deployed to Puttur Rural Police Station, Dakshina Kannada.
Sharangouda V. Hirekenchanagouda has been assigned to Belthangady Police Station, while Chidanandappa M. Gadag has been deployed to Karkala Town Police Station, Udupi district. Raghavendra T.R. has been assigned to Karkala Circle.

Concerned unit heads have been directed to relieve the officers immediately and ensure that they report for duty at their assigned locations. Compliance reports regarding their release and joining have also been sought.
