Puttur, 25 September 2026: Prathibhotsava 2026-27 was held at Vivekananda Arts, Science and Commerce (Autonomous) College, Puttur. Programme was organised by the Lalithakala Sangha in association with the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) of the college.
Vivekananda Vidyavardhaka Sangha Vice-President Roopalekha inaugurated the programme. She said the main aim of Prathibhotsava is to introduce students to India’s rich heritage and higher values of life.
She said creativity is more important than winning or losing in such programmes. Prathibhotsava also teaches students to think as a team and develop a sense of social responsibility. She stressed the need for students to spend time developing their artistic skills. Continuous practice, dedication and hard work are also important, she said.
College Principal Prof. Srikrishna Ganaraja Bhat presided over the programme. He said Prathibhotsava provides an excellent platform to bring out the hidden talents of students. “Performing within a limited time is a challenge. Students should make the best use of the opportunities they receive,” he said.
He added that such platforms help students overcome hesitation and build confidence and courage. Art is present in everyone, and such programmes help students introduce their talent to the world, he said. He expressed hope that the young participants would grow into renowned artists in the future.
IQAC Coordinator Dr. Ravikala and Lalithakala Sangha student representatives Varalakshmi and Sumashree were present.
Prizes Announced
Valedictory programme included the distribution of prizes. Third B.Com team won the first prize. The Second B.Sc team secured the second prize, while the First B.Sc team won the third prize.
Muralikrishna K.N., Convener of the college governing body, presided over the valedictory programme. He said the creativity and talent of the students were impressive. The programme showcased various art forms and the rich cultural traditions of different countries. He encouraged students to develop their talents with greater interest. He also stressed the responsibility of preserving the artistic heritage and introducing it to future generations.
Prizes were also distributed for various competitions held as part of Independence Day, Ganeshotsava and Onam celebrations. Lalithakala Sangha Coordinator Akshatha Nayak welcomed the gathering. Sangha representative Bhoomika proposed the vote of thanks.
