Who Can Apply?
Scholarship is open to girl students who meet the specified eligibility conditions.
Applicants must be:
- Daughters of drivers of heavy or light commercial road transport vehicles used for carrying goods, or large passenger transport vehicles such as buses.
- Studying in Class 11 or 12, or pursuing UG, diploma or polytechnic courses in STEM and core engineering fields.
- Students pursuing eligible technical courses can be from any year of study.
- Have secured a minimum of 60% marks.
- Belong to families with an annual income of up to ₹6 lakh.
Scholarship Amount
Selected students can receive financial assistance of up to ₹30,000, depending on the scholarship category and applicable guidelines.
Assistance is intended to help eligible students continue their education and reduce financial constraints associated with higher secondary and technical studies.
SML Saarthi and SML Unnati
Programme has two scholarship categories:
SML Saarthi focuses on supporting eligible girl students pursuing higher secondary education.
SML Unnati supports eligible girl students pursuing undergraduate, diploma or polytechnic education in STEM and core engineering fields.
