Bengaluru, June 13, 2025: South Western Railway (SWR) has announced the extension of temporary stoppages for select trains at various stations for an additional six months, from July 1, 2025, to December 31, 2025. Initially introduced on an experimental basis, these stoppages have been continued to enhance passenger convenience and improve connectivity across key routes. The decision reflects SWR’s commitment to meeting passenger demand while maintaining operational efficiency.
Below are the details of the trains and stations where the temporary one-minute stoppages will remain in effect:

For instance, the temporary augmentation of Train Nos. 16595/16596 KSR Bengaluru-Karwar-KSR Bengaluru Panchaganga Express with additional coaches will continue until November 1 and 2, 2025, to accommodate increased demand during ongoing electrification works in the Mysuru Division.

This extension underscores SWR’s efforts to balance passenger convenience with infrastructure development, particularly in regions like Karnataka, where these services play a vital role in daily commuting and regional travel.
