Uppinangady, July 28: Temporary work has been started at the Gandhi Park Underpass in Uppinangady, following public attention towards the waterlogging and road condition issues faced by commuters.

In a follow-up Facebook post, local resident Mata Koppala shared that the work had commenced at the underpass. According to his post, the area is being levelled using cement-mixed gravel as an immediate measure, and there is hope that concrete work will be completed soon to make the stretch convenient for public movement.

The underpass issue had earlier drawn attention after concerns were raised over the inconvenience caused during rainy conditions. The latest update indicates that temporary measures are being taken to address the immediate problem.

Residents have expressed hope that a permanent solution will be implemented to prevent recurring waterlogging and ensure safer travel through the underpass.
