Power Shutdown Across Puttur, Kadaba and Subrahmanya Areas on July 30; Check If Your Area Is on the List

Puttur, July 28: Residents in several parts of Puttur, Kadaba, Subrahmanya, Sullia and surrounding areas will experience a scheduled power outage on Wednesday, July 30, due to emergency maintenance works being carried out by Mangalore Electricity Supply Company (MESCOM).

According to a MESCOM notification, power supply from the 110/33/11 kV Puttur Power Station will remain suspended from 10:00 am to 5:30 pm on the Nagara, Ramakunja, Uppinangady Old, Uppinangady Express, Kanchana, Water Supply and Kemmai feeders.

The shutdown will affect consumers in Kabaka, Vidyapura, Nagara, Mura, Kodippady, Kalembi, Padeelu, Salkar, Beernahithlu, Kemmai, Krishnanagara, Anemajalu, Bannur, Halanga, Sediyapu, Kodimbady, Mathanthabettu, Shanthinagara, Darandakukku, Katara, Chikkamunnur, Bellippady, Ramakunja, Kola, Hirebandadi, Water Supply area, Halenereki and Nekkilady.

In a separate maintenance programme at Bannur Junction, power supply on the 33 kV Puttur–Kadaba–Subrahmanya and 33 kV Puttur–Savanur–Nelyadi transmission lines will also remain suspended from 10:00 am to 5:30 pm.

As a result, all 11 kV feeders originating from the Kadaba, Subrahmanya, Nelyadi and Savanur power substations, along with consumers served by the Bindu 33/11 kV substation, will also be affected during the shutdown period.

MESCOM has requested residents and commercial establishments in the affected areas to make necessary arrangements in advance and cooperate during the maintenance work.
