Bengaluru, July 23: Families across Karnataka will have to set aside a little extra for their monthly grocery shopping as the Karnataka Milk Federation (KMF) has announced a revision in the prices of Nandini ghee and butter, effective July 24, 2026.
The increase applies to several pack sizes of Nandini ghee, including sachets, pet jars and tins, as well as butter products. The revised prices were approved through an official KMF circular issued on July 23.
For consumers, the price hike means that commonly purchased household essentials such as 1-litre ghee, 200 ml ghee, and 100-gram butter will now cost more than before. Families, restaurants, bakeries and sweet manufacturers that use these products regularly are likely to feel the impact on their monthly budgets.
According to the revised price list:
- Nandini Ghee Sachet (1 litre): ₹715 (up from ₹650)
- Nandini Ghee Pet Jar (1 litre): ₹735 (up from ₹668.18)
- Nandini Ghee Tin (1 litre): ₹750 (up from ₹669.64)
- Nandini Butter (100 g blister pack): ₹60
- Nandini Salted Butter (100 g): ₹70
- Nandini Unsalted Butter (200 g): ₹135
KMF has directed all milk unions and sales outlets to implement the revised rates from July 24, 2026.
With food prices already under pressure, consumers may see a slight increase in the cost of homemade sweets, bakery items and restaurant dishes that rely heavily on ghee and butter.
