The Household Schedule will cover whether a person worked at any time during the previous year, along with the category of economic activity, occupation, nature of industry, trade or service and class of worker.
For marginal, semi-marginal and non-workers, questions will also cover non-economic activity and whether they are seeking or available for work. Information on travel to the place of work is also included.
Migration details
The census will collect information on place of birth, place of last residence, reason for migration and duration of stay in the present village or town since the last migration. Permanent residential address will also be covered.
Information on children
For currently married, widowed, divorced and separated women, the schedule includes questions on the number of children surviving at present and the number of children ever born alive. Currently married women will also be asked about the number of children born alive during the last one year.
Bank accounts and identity details
The notified categories also include the place of Covid-19 vaccination and the total number of bank accounts. The schedule lists mobile number and Aadhaar number, if available, along with Voter ID number. For Indian passport holders, passport number will also be covered, as will the availability of a driving licence.
