Puttur, 26 September 2026: 40th annual Navaratri Utsava of Uralandi Sri Saraswati Bhajana Mandir will be celebrated as part of the temple’s annual religious and cultural activities. Ahead of the celebrations, the invitation card for the festival was released at the mandir on September 25.
Invitation card was first placed in the sanctum of Goddess Saraswati. Prayers and puja were offered, following which the invitation card was formally released. 40th-year celebration marks an important milestone for the Uralandi Sri Saraswati Bhajana Mandir. The Navaratri festival is traditionally associated with the worship of Goddess Durga and Goddess Saraswati, with devotees participating in prayers and other religious activities during the festival period.
Invitation release ceremony also marked the beginning of preparations for this year’s Navaratri celebrations at the mandir.
Mandir general secretary Shivananda Hegde Purusharakatte, joint secretary Naresh Hegde Periyathodi, treasurer Jalajakshi Hegde, joint treasurer Suryanarayana Hegde, and Pradeep Hegde, Deekshith Hegde, Komala Vasudeva Hegde, Srikanth Hegde, Samarth Hegde, Varun Kumar, Jayanth Hegde and Hemanvi Pradeep, among others, were present.
Organisers are expected to conduct the Navaratri Utsava with the participation of devotees and members of the local community.
