First-year students in MBBS, BDS, BPT, Nursing and Allied Healthcare courses can apply by October 31
Students beginning undergraduate or integrated master's programs in Medical and Health Sciences can apply for the Satya Scholarship Program 2026, which provides 100% annual course fee coverage along with support for accommodation and meals, subject to program guidelines.
Scholarship is an initiative of the Nehru Sidhant Kender Trust and is open to eligible students from Punjab and students from Ludhiana district who secure admission to specified medical institutions across India.

Who can apply?
Scholarship is open to first-year students pursuing 3- to 5-year undergraduate or integrated master's programs in:
- MBBS
- BDS
- BPT
- B.Sc. Nursing
- B.Sc. Allied and Healthcare
Applicants must have passed their Class 12 board examination from a recognised board in Punjab with at least 60% aggregate marks.
Two categories of students are eligible
Program covers two broad groups.
Students from Punjab: Students from Punjab who have secured admission to eligible courses at 12 selected institutes in Ludhiana district can apply.
Students from Ludhiana district: Students belonging to Ludhiana district who have secured admission to eligible courses at select Top NIRF-Ranked Medical institutions across India can also apply.
Family income requirement
The applicant's annual parental income should not exceed ₹8 lakh. Separate guardian income limits apply to orphan applicants, according to the scholarship guidelines.
Applicants must also:
- Be Indian citizens
- Be first-year students in an eligible course
- Not be receiving another educational scholarship
What does the Satya Scholarship cover?
Selected students can receive 100% of their annual course fee for the entire course duration, subject to the program's guidelines.
Additional support is available for:

Meals
This makes the scholarship relevant for students who may face both tuition and living expenses while pursuing medical or allied-healthcare education.
Preference for certain applicants
