Puttur, July 11, 2025: The much awaited Dharma Chavadi, a new Tulu film, was released across the coastal region today. The movie is produced by Nadubail Jagadish Amin under the Krishnavani Pictures banner and directed by Nitin Rai Kukkuvalli. Its first public screening took place at Bharat Cinemas in G.L. One Mall, Puttur. The opening event included a ceremony celebrating Tulu cultural heritage and highlighted the growth of the Tulu film industry.Cultural Significance Highlighted at PremiereEshwar Bhat Panjigudde, President of the Sri Mahalingeshwara Temple Committee, opened the film screening. He talked about how the movie helps to protect the Tulu language and culture. “My faith in our customs matches the spirit of this film. It is not just for fun—it helps people to connect with our heritage,” he said. He mentioned Swami Vivekananda, gave his blessings to the young filmmakers, and handed them prasadam from the temple.
